Every shrimp we sell

Prices are per shrimp and include GST. Express post is $29.99 for the box, whether it holds three shrimp or thirty. Post drops to $9.99 once your shrimp come to $149. "Other shops" prices are what we saw on Australian shop websites on 17 August 2026.

Each picture is an illustration. That means a picture we made to show the colour and pattern of that kind of shrimp. It is not a photo of the shrimp in your box, and it is not a promise of grade (how solid and even the colour is). Real shrimp vary in grade and we do not guarantee it. Every card says so. Real shrimp vary in size, shade and pattern. As we take photos in our own tanks, they will replace the illustrations. How the pictures are made.

Bee Caridina. The fancy ones.

Bee is the hobby name for crystals, bolts, dragons and fancy tigers. Caridina is the bigger group they all belong to. They need very soft water. Tap water is too hard almost everywhere in Australia. You make soft water with an RO filter (it takes everything out of tap water) and add shrimp minerals back in. Read water & care before you buy. In return you get shrimp most other shops in the country are sold out of.

Caridina that are fine in tap water

Tap water is fine for these two. Tangerine tigers breed easily. Ninja shrimp will not breed in a fresh water tank at all. The card says so.

An orange tiger shrimp that breeds in normal tap water. The easiest Caridina (the group that includes crystals, tigers and ninja shrimp) to start with.

An Australian native that changes colour to match your tank, like a chameleon. Cheap, and you will not get tired of watching them.

These will not breed in a freshwater tank. Their babies (larvae) need brackish water, which is part salt and part fresh. Buy them to eat algae, not to make more shrimp.

Neocaridina. The easy ones.

Tap water plus a conditioner (drops that take the chlorine out). Twelve colours. They are all the same shrimp underneath, and they all breed without any help. Start here if you are new. Pick one colour only. If you mix two colours, the babies go brown.
